Nishil Kulkarni

Hey there! I am Nishil —an ECE graduate from BITS Pilani. I have spent four wonderful years at BITS making friends, chasing deadlines, exploring new ideas, and creating memories that will last a lifetime! I am now joining the quantitative hedge fund Trexquant as a full-time Quantitative Researcher this August!

I'm passionate about machine learning and financial markets. I am an engineer at heart and I love to solve practical problems. My love for mathematics and this amazing course by the amazing MIT Sloan Professor Andrew Lo is the reason I have been so much interested in this field. I spent my undergrad years dabbling around with several ML applications (Healthcare, Language Understanding, etc.). These days, I enjoy reading more on signal processing and reinforcement learning, and I make it a point to keep up with the daily Wall Street Journal. Aside from work, I am a professional badminton player and an athlete, and yes- I love to teach! I also enjoy outdoor activitites- hiking, and mountain biking, and I wish to find more peaceful time to pursue these :)

So, take a look around! If you want to talk shop, or if you feel like you need a jogging buddy :P or you just want to say hi - I am only a text away!
